Proto was recently invited to attend the 2nd annual Heroes and Villains pageant put on by VCU's art foundation class (the same group o' people who did the RainbowPuke art class project).

Ya, some really lazy entries there but Captain Copperplate was awesome. Robot Bastard indeed...

Who won the pageant anyway?

Well, they had different categories, but the "Best of the Best" was The Forces of Liberty. Cuz Captain Copperplate rules.

They also had:

The Captain Pathetic Award: Lazer Demon
Best Hero: Traffic Avenger
Evil Mastermind: Shii (I don't understand how being a crazy cliche makes you a "mastermind". It totally should've been Dr. Klutz)
Costume Envy: The Nameless Trio
Absurdly Genius: Handlebar

Wait a second...
Isn't Firefly already a superhero?
I'm pretty sure I've seen something of the same name before in a comic :\

Oh, and EJ is my second place after captain copperplate :P

Firefly is such a basic name that I'm sure there are probably multiple comic characters out there with that name.

Ya, there are a few...the Batman villan comes to mind. Ragdoll is a classic name as well. I remember there being a Flash villan by that name. I'm pretty sure there is also a Eris. There are so few cool superhero names left.
