Dr. Boogie shows that classic games like NARC can assist you in making good career moves. Games like NARC can also assist you in having a fucking great time blowing up just about everything in sight.

I'm at school, so I am not going to actually read the article. But, the true question is, did Boogie beat the final boss? It took my girlfriend & I like 2 hours & 2 bowls to beat that fucker. So many rockets!

EDIT: Okay, I read it (the last paragraph) and I don't think he did! Nyaah! Feel free to proove me wrong!

What emulator do you need for the ROM?

It's the arcade version (or NARCade version if you will), so you should use the MAME emulator for it.

Also, as further proof of how bad of an influence NARC was on kids back in the day, in the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, we get to see some of the kids who are gonna be trying out for Shedder's "foot clan" playing the NARC arcade game.

First you play NARC.
Then you join The Foot.
WHEN WILL THE HORRORS END?

I remember the HORRIBLE nes version of NARC. Never played the arcade.

There was another game for the NES that reminds me of NARC, and I believe was an arcade game previously, that I've been trying to track down. I can remember very little of it other than in takes place in an area for a game show (very Running Man themed) and there was a voice file that would scream 'Big MONEY, big PRIZES! I LOVE IT!' before every round.
Anyone have any ideas on that?

That would be "Smash T.V." - one my all-time favorites and yeah it's based on Running Man. They also had a sequel for it called "Total Carnage" which was also really fun.

But yeah, for NARC, Smash T.V. and Total Carnage, you definitely want to go with the arcade versions (though the SNES versions of the later two weren't bad at all, but NARC definitely sucked on NES)

Anyone interested in any of these games being mentioned should get midway arcade treasures 2 for xbox/ps2/probably gamecube. It has narc and total carnage and a bunch of other fun games such as rampage and mortal kombat 2 and 3. Spent many hours trying to wrap a few of those games in 2 player mode. Usually the other person playing died early though :(

I have the second one and it has TOTAL CARNAGE, and NARC. Even has that basketball game arch rivals, where you can hit each other. Sounds more fun than it is though.
