Weren't there super villains that the Hulk fought?

Well, maybe by accident.

I don't like this whole comic book movie fad. Next time you see a movie, it will be about the Fantastic Four.

I thought this movie was supposed to be good.

there already was a Fantastic Four movie, only it was never released. I heard it sucked as hell. I did see some pictures of it thouhg, and I though that Dr. Doom looked cool.

The FF movie was made out of pure bullshit.

The people who owned the rights to the movie had to follow through with some action by a certain date, or else they'd lose the rights. But they were the only ones who knew it, and didn't tell the cast and crew.

So they filmed a shitty movie that was never meant to see the light of day. Then again, I wouldn't want to see John Ritter as Reed Richards anyway. But a real one is going to be in the works eventually.

Personally, I like this movie fad. There's a lot of comics I'd want to see done right on the big screen, and that will hopefully be how things go for some of the ones I'm looking forward to. Punisher and Ghost Rider come to mind.

Punisher came out a while back. I heard it sucked though :(.

They're making a NEW Punisher movie.

The FF movie was fucking hilarious, it was soooo bad. It was pretty much only made so they could keep the rights to it, as I recall. Thing and Doom looked really great, though. You can DL it on Kazaa, and it's worth it for the very last scene.

The Hulk has been the first comic book movie I'm not at all looking forward to seeing. It looks like shit. The teaser was sort of cool, but is it me, or is his head really tiny?

Anyway, the next comic movies I've heard about are The Wonder Twins, and Ghostrider with Nick Cage as Ghostrider :(

Do you think he'll have receding flames?

James

Cage isn't set to play Ghost Rider anymore, to my knowledge.

Daphne

I read he was signed, but I could be wrong.

I heard a while ago that whoever it is who's making the Fantastic Four movie will be going for a "family sitcom" approach. >:

What the hell is wrong with The Hulk trailer? I think it looks good, and I like the fact that they're following the better storylines in the comics (i.e. the US government and military going after him rather than the Hulk duking it out with various cheesy costumed villains, which would have SUCKED).

The CG looks kind of sketchy, but I'll reserve judgement until I see the movie. Often times the CG that makes it into the trailer is NOT the final touched up stuff that you see in the final cut of the movie. I remember being a bit wary of the Spider-man CG too in the trailers but when I actually saw the movie I thought most of it looked fine.

I worry a little about the "Hulk Dogs" but I hear they were a part of the comic book (though I never read those storylines).

From the stills I've seen of the Hulk dogs, they look fantastic. But whether or not they'll be a laughable element in the movie remains to be seen.

Anyway, I'm gonna look at the trailer now.

The CGI looks just plain stupid. It looks fine during the real actor parts, but that's cuz there's no stupid CGI Hulk anywhere to be found. I know you're a huge comic book fan Proto and you want to like it, and so do I... but this movie looks like shit.

The CGI looks better than Lou Ferrigno ever did :(

He actually LOOKS like he does in the comics. We'll have to wait and see how it looks in the final film when he's moving around doing shit.

There's no way they could have done the Hulk WITHOUT CGI and done a decent job. I don't care HOW big the actor, I don't care how big the suit they put the actor in. The Hulk is supposed to be fucking HUGE.

FS

Problem is that the Hulk is supernaturally huge, like the Kingpin. It's going to look weird if you try to carry that image over to a live-action movie. I think that, given some time, you can get used to seeing him like that.

What's this about Hulk Dogs, though? :(

The director says he's going to move like Bruce Lee in Arnie's body. Could look stupid and weightless, could turn out alright.

EDIT: Just saw the trailer. Nick fucking Nolte!

No way, CGI will never beat a human actor. Here's the proof:

The bruises on the outside are nothing compared to the interal bleeding. :tear

And those Hulk dogs look like shit, goddamn! It's like the hellhounds from Ghostbusters, only not nearly as cool...

Some of it looks good, other stuff looks like crap. They've made the Hulk move really fast in all the seens so you can't tell how crappy the CG is. :(

And I didn't know that Hulk could jump like a million feet into the air. :(

And I didn't know that Hulk could jump like a million feet into the air. :(

He could. In the early comics, it was usually kind of a cop-out so Hulk could effectively flee the army and such.
