Lately whenever I drink, even if it's not to the point of being drunk or anywhere near it I get massive headaches. Anyone else have this problem? I've only drank Coors Light lately...anyone have problems with that specific brand giving you headaches?

Is it a hangover headache or a different kind of headache?

I think you'd need to be drunk to get a hangover, but I don't know my alcohol at all.

Hangover make your head feel like it's being squeezed, I take it this is different.

Sometimes I find when I drink lots of beer (has to be beer, mind) I can feel my kidneys aching! It's horrible!!

that'll be what your drinking my friend,

I can drink shed loadds of cider/vodka/gin/unidentifiable substances and never get a headache (unless I don't eat for a day before I drink)

but just 2 cans of any lager gives me a storming head, it must be those particular chemicals

Well your probably overworking your kidneys. They have to work hard to clean impurites your blood. Drink less beer.

Also, I believe I read that the darker the beer, the more impurities are in it. Stick to beer that has a lighter color. http://www.customerssuck.com/smilies/drinka.gif

I get headaches when I drink occassionally. I generally just blame it on being dehydrated though. Not sure if thats the real reason or not, but it works for me.

Maybe you overworked them...or you had so much alchohol that your blood pressure increased significantly and burst the glomerular capsules in the nephrons of the kidneys. I hope you didn't damage them permenently... I would be damn careful with alchohol from now if I were you...
I'll ask my bio teacher what might be causeing this the next time I see her. In the meantime, go easy with the booze!

BTW, did you notice any bruising on you in the location of the kidneys? If you do, it could be very serious. :/

thankyou for your concern. I'm sure the problem's only down to withdrawal and not dangerous. All drug addict go through pain when they give up, and alcohols just another drug albeit legal.

I will take care I have only one life and no offspring
