Yes, it's finally happening. Valve has kept it secret for many years. the boss of Valve said they were making HL2 right after the release of HL1, so they sure can keep a secret. search around and you'll find loads of screenshots (most of them not yet ingame).

I think it is FUCKING great!!! finally, the game I've been waiting for will be released around september. there's ONE ingame screenshot, and it looked very nice!

I can't wait till september!

one thing though, the endings better be fucking great this time. i love the g-man and everything (i shot him a buncha times, all he does is stare back at me like "whatchoo doin?" baaadass muthafucka.) but c'mon i want the endings to be worth all that adrenaline.

i never played them all the way through, i have half life, opposing force adn blue shift but never finished any of them. I played the mods like crazy first, and basically the game itself was then too easy so i got bored and quit :(

who was the G-man anyway?

I liked Half-Life mostly for its story aspect, but the "good" ending sure sucked. Even the bad one was better.

There were two endings? holy shit. I didnt know. Only got the one were the man with the suit and briefcase said "you are working for us now"

For the other ending, you had to just stand around in the traincar for a minute and wait for the G-man to leave.

Anyways, the screenshots for HL2 have given me such a boner that I'm gonna need a new pair of pants. :(

They are using the new hl2 engine for another game to come out in 2004. The game Im most expecting. Vampire: bloodlines
