I've got a really dodgy gas cooker and I was boiling an egg. I used the end on my sleeve to lift the pan lid and all the loose threads went up in flames. I was beating the flames out with my hand but could hear the flames going around my back.
I would have rolled on the floor but my kitchen is too small! But I did manage to remove my burning top and jump on it.
All that just from boiling one egg.

You would have laughed if I'd become a human fireball and it was in the paper DEATH BY EGG and there was a picture of my ashes with only a shoe left. And the egg wasn't even cooked.

So many people here I'd like to imagine engulfed in flames and it happens to one of the good ones. Life sucks >:

Why don't you get an electric stove?

If you have to ask, then the answer is probably yes.

This morning I am using the grill
I have to add here that the word 'stove' reminds me of blacking and Little House on the Prairie.

I bought a toaster oven because gas is expensive. Then the nuclear power plant 2 miles from my house had a fire (not a meltdown big difference) and got shut down permenently since this was the last straw as far as the NRC was conceaned. Now, electricity cost three time as much as gas and my last bill was $253.00 thanks to the electric toaster oven deal.
DOWN WITH ELECTRICITY

Gas is cheaper in England than electric. Do Americans get confused with petrol?
