First and foremost, these boards are based around a humor website and they are meant for discussion, not necessarily debate. However, political and philosophical discussion often leads to debate, but as Achimp pointed out, do you really think that you're going to find a hot topic to argue over in a thread called "Where is Newsfilter?"

If you newsfilter simpletons want to discuss something in these forums, fine. If you want to debate, fine. But I don't think you're going to find many of us here who are going to argue over nothing with you simply for the sake of having an argument. Most of us have better things to do with our time.

Running around beating your chest and saying "YOU'RE ALL LITTLE GIRLS BECAUSE YOU WON'T ARGUE WITH ME AND I WIN OMG YOU ARE SO OWNED" isn't really going to impress anybody if there's nothing to argue over in the first place.
