Holy crap I got in a huge fight

I just got back. When I got to Washington's there was this guy who was totally pissed off at this guy I know so I got in there to defend my pal but he hit me with a pitcher. I was all like "Dude, it's me, don't hit me man". And he said "oh it's you bro, sorry I'm fucking drunk"..or something like that. Then the guy who's pissed started yellin like he was trying to get everyone's attn and it just went from there like a whole crowd of punching and throwing. I was just trying to help out my buddy cuz he was so drunk they would've creamed him. I'm ok, but I have a bruise on my leg from being whacked with a chair, and I got bit in the forearm cuz this one guy did that to get out of a choke-hold, holy shit.

I was involved in a few situations like that in the army. Our policy was more or less: If it was a group of guys and our/my buddy was in trouble, then we'd probably help out as no one deserves a "group ass whoopin". That's just unfair. If it was just another individual, then our/my buddy was probably being a drunken a-hole and deserved it. In that case, I/we let nature take it's course unless it looked like he was totally getting his ass kicked or the cops were called and we needed to get his drunken ass out of there (saves on paperwork for all concerned :) ).

until a month or so ago, i'd been in only one fight. it was ninth grade. she was amanda. three times my size. she came to respect me. this last so-called fight was more my trying to deflate the irrational anger of a fucking drunk who refused to get the fuck out of my face. if i had it to do over again, i'd kick his arse. knee to the tummy. uppercut the chin.
