I use IE just because it's already there and nothing else is better. I never liked Opera, and despite what everyone says, if you have your security settings done up properly, and always click NO, nothing bad happens with IE.

They use Mozilla on campus in the Unix labs. The finally got rid of Nutscrape.

I wouldn't say IE is better, just more widely accepted and therefore more accessible. I mean, it doesn't even support transparency in .png files.

I'm talking about in Windows. I used to run Netscape all the time; in fact, it was the only browser I used up until around 4.3 at which point it just kept crashing non-stop.

Mozilla is awesome for Linux/Unix, but I find it sluggish on my Windows machine.

PNGs themselves aren't widely supported.

I use Mozilla Firebird, the stripped-down version of Mozilla...not sure what they took out, since it seems to have more features than Mozilla proper, but it's a smaller program (no install either, just a zip) and runs as fast as IE for me. The only issue I've noticed is that the form autofill can crash it occasionally, but I'm willing to put up with this in exchange for mouse gesture support. :)

IE is pretty much all I use.

Mouse gesture support is only required for people who can't afford an Intellimouse or equivalent. >:

Mouse gestures are great! By your Intellimouse comment (joke?) I must question if you have ever even used them before...? You know how efficiently you can view porn when you don't have to move the cursor all the way up to the back/forth buttons or use an ALT+arrow key? Step outside the little playpen MS keeps you in and maybe you'll see there are better alternatives. Older Opera versions did suck, as does 7. But IE is a resource wasting, buggy and slow piece of garbage.

I spent the Intellimouse money on beer. And I love my mouse gestures. Those and mouse rocker navigation. These things are already too ingrained for me to use any other method.

I also think it's amusing that even though this is the only forum that allows guests to post, they still do it instead of registering.

I use Mozilla and Mozilla firebird most . Pretty much for multi tabbed browsing and the fact that i find mozilla firebird alot quicker then IE even though it is a little buggy. The official release should be sweet. I only use IE for sites that wont work in Mozilla right. One good thing about Opera is the auto refresh function so it isnt all bad.
