Gundam Wing: Endless Duel

I just got the ROM for this game (because you can only get it on import the regular way) and it frickin rocks.

It's a Gundam-fighting SNES game and you can be most of the characters from Gundam Wing.

There's a "story mode" but no story, just fighting, and frankly, that's all that you need for this little gem.

The Gundams you can be are Heavyarms, Wing Gundam, Deathscythe, Sandrock, Wing Gundam 0, Shenlong, Vayeate, Tallgeese, and Mercurius. There's also a cheat to get Epyon (the final boss), but why bother?

Speaking of Epyon, he's a hard motherfucker... He has the cheapest "special" in the game: He levitates in the air and shoots balls at you (how gay) and each ball if unblocked will blast you into the air, to get hit by more balls. The attack does massive damage, even when blocked.

This one came REALLY close... I would have had that bastard if he didn't attack me with his gay special, bringing me to 1 health. (The backgrounds are sometimes white because Specials make the background flash)

Shenlong and Deathscythe are my best guys, although I'm also pretty good with Sandrock. Sandrock is probably my favorite because he has a smashing (makes the opponent fall on their bum) attack where he swings his shield over his head and slams the other guy with it. It's incredibly cheap and can be chained in long combos to paralyze your opponent (not allowing them to get up).

But that's dishonorable.

It's a solid fighter to add to your collection, be it ROM, or SNES collection.

Two things:

1.) Don't even think about submitting that to the classic gaming site. Lord knows we already have enough crap reviews.

2.) It was a mediocre fighting game based off of a mind-bogglingly stupid series.

Shenlong was so cool. The Dragon Fang and the Polearm just cannot be matched.

Bah, played that aaages ago..I liked it, for a while.
Not alot of replay value though, and the gundams are way too big and chunky on screen.
