No Post Count Petition

Let it die, people think it's a contest, and no matter how many fucking time you tell them it isn't they go ahead anyway. And more newbies will come, and they'll do it too. The simple fact of "Hey I'm a Fucking Moron, but i got 200 post and i only been here a week, so I must be a valid memeber of the board" has gone way to long. Most of us know who's relevent and who's not, a number won't.

Therefore I call for a petition to end post counts, I know it's much, but so is fatasses suing Burger King.

Just reply to sign or something.

I agree with your no post count idea, Cool. It may look like I'm trying to race to have a large post count, just trying to help the thread. I understand now not to post short, meaningless posts because it wo't help anything. If we remove this, it will more likely reduce the post counts by a good margin, and makes this board a better place.

You can't remove post counts in phpBB without editting the source code. I think increasing the post flood interval and more active banning would fix the problem. >:

I don't really care eitherway, since I don't think I've actually seen anyone actively posting to boost their post count. If anything, it's an indicator of people who post way too fucking much, like klownboy. There's the in-profile "post frequency" indicator for that, but the post count itself is kind of a constant reminder of who posts too much since it shows up with all their posts. Of course, you already know someone posts too much when they have single sentence/word replies all over the board.

In short - post counts are useless.

We use to have a ranking system, so the more post you have, higer the ranking. Then some dipshit made a "Rank up Forum" where they just wasted posts. We turned both the things, and it worked as far as over posting.

As for sheer idiocy, we had a Banned of the Month thing were every month board memebers can vote on who should we ban as long as there was a reason behind.
