Do old games work with Vista?

Just wanted to ask from those who have Vista, have you had any problems running old games with Vista? I'm asking this because a "friend" of mine claims so.

With old games I mean games such as Fallouts 1&2 and Balgur's Gate series.

I think it just varies from game to game and I'm not sure whether Vista's the culprit or simply that the games didn't age well :(

you've gotta run them in win95 or win2k compatibility mode.
