Did you know I work for the Museum of Science in Boston? I do. We are currently running a web based promotion asking people to send in video of their best guess as to what a Dinosaur sounded like. And just who is the spokesperson for this project?

I'm glad you asked. It's ME!

I'm sure you've been desperately curious to know what I look and sound like on video, and now you can. AND if you have the time and tech, please make a video and send it to the museum. All the info is on the web page, and of course, the more traffic and submissions we get, the better the chances the Museum will do stuff like this again, which would mean you'd see more of me, which is quite naturally what you want.

here's the URL

Damnit! I just put a message out to the webteam.

But we're only the museum of SCIENCE so this will probably take a while. In the meantime, since I can make it work, try this for me. Go to the main page, www.mos.org, and from there, click on the option 'create' at the top of the page. See if that makes any difference at all.

I tried that, Max...same thing.
The volume bar is extended, and in the lower right hand corner of the screen, it's blinking between "normal" and "full"
same thing with the play button...it's blinking between "play" and "stop"

EDIT: I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I can't view any of the videos on the page....the player does the same thing.

Thanks for being my Beta testers, guys. I'm passing along your experience and will let folks on this end know.

I think the problem is just that it's loading SUPER SUPER slow

It works for me man! Loads slowly compared to most web videos, but it still loaded. And yeah, dinosaurs probably don't sound that way, Dr. Max.

p.s.: you should've worn the red dress for the video

That's because it's the OFFICIAL Museum of Science coat! That's what the presenters wear when they're presenting. I kyped one out of their secret closet to make the film.

It didn't work for me initially (controls loaded up, but the video itself never did), but when I refreshed the page, everything worked just fine.

Thank you sir! I am hoping the Museum will let me do way more of this stuff, but getting the approval is going to be quite the uphill slog.

Dang, I'd love to yell from the bottom of my lungs, but I'm not sure whether my neighbours would like that. :/

And I'm not 100% sure that I'm able to record videos with sound. :/

Max, you sound nothing like I had imagined...I really want to upload a clip, but I have no way of doing so...:(

EDIT: I found out my girlfriend has a camera that I can use..I'm going to try and record a clip this weekend

Thanks, all. Tell your friends, make them do it. I wished they'd used the full sc ript I shot, but I guess it ran too long for their tasttes.

I love how you express doubt of them sounding like the noise you made, and then the video abruptly ends.

You actually look a lot younger (and sound a bit different) than that picture of you looking bewildered (or drunk?) led me to believe. Nice video.

Yeah, I'm well preserved considering how many miles I got on me.
