They need a zombie Bio Byte (I know it isn't an animal I don't care) so we can relive ZOMBIE versus SHARK!

Sometimes, I feel my childhood was cheated. Being 33 now, I was truly deprived of whining all year for, and then finally receiving one of these as a gift. I'm sure I would have tired of it quickly, and by February would never have touched it again.
Now I'd never spend 30 bucks on it, and having no crotchfruit of my own, I can't live vicariously through the joy of my offspring playing with one of these. (And using the excuse of, "Let Dad level your shark up for you,")
Still, best of luck, I think I speak for well...me...in saying that I'm damned curious about this secret boss.

good luck with the boss man. If you love sharks though you should see the documentary "Sharkwater" it's coming out soon on dvd, I saw it at a festival and it's fantastic if not damn difficult to watch (it shows the whole sale slaughter of sharks by poachers and fin fishers). Great article.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and, while a Diablo-esque villain would be cool, I'm going to say "Cobbled together dinosaur monster" for the boss. Although couldn't they have come up with a cooler name than "Bernazoid"? Burn-azoid I could see, but Bern? Ah, I dunno. Either way, good luck, Rog. If I were still at my old job, I could likely tell you when they hit the clearance racks, but I'm out of luck there.
By the way, I see there *is* a crocodile and I see you were obviously fighting it. So, how many times has the thing been beat down?
And also, you're right. Shark week rocks.

Good god, I googled these things and found them selling for $60+. Who in their right mind would pay that much for one?

I think you're onto something there, Pentegarn, and I wholeheartedly support your campaign to add zombies to the Bio Bytes product line. Make it so!

Yes indeed, didn't we all...

I lost count, but yeah, I've took out a lot of pent up sharky aggression on that croc. I've also taken out the killer whale and the octopus a few times just to leave no question about who is truly king of the sea!
Good god, I googled these things and found them selling for $60+. Who in their right mind would pay that much for one?
Only an idiot would pay that much, because you can get 'em for about $25 in stores and for about $10 on eBay right now.

Sounds like something rejected from the pokemon franchise, I'd go back to watching real cockfights any day.

Indeed, THATS a stupid price for stupid toys. because, in the ad, theyre wriggling like heck knows what, but they more TWITCH in real life than "attack". And, who'd be that much of a sucker to pay 25 bucks on one of these, Tamagotchis sell for like 10 at target! And that site has been PWNED!

Actually, Discovery Channel or Animal Planet does have a series like this. Forget what it's called, but they have had battles like Hippo VS Shark, Lion VS Tiger, etc.

The mystery zoid guy looks like the triceratops monster thing that was a character in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters.

I googled Bernazoid to see if there where any pictures of this fabled beast, but to no avail, the only page i found was this one. Considering the fact that the Bio Bytes web site didn't exist, and there's no other entries anywhere about Bernazoid, i'd say you made this whole thing up! You're a phony!

That's the actual drawing they used to base the Bernazoid on. Here are some animations of Bernie in action:

And since you like this one, here it is in GIF form:

Whoah, finally we get to see the Bernazoid in action! Where'd you get those animations? Do you work for the company or something?
That jumping tail-whip animation looks like it would decimate my shark. :(

The Bernazoid was meant to be uber-powerful, like the real Bernazoid who works at Jakks :) And yes, I worked directly on the project.

Haha nice, that had to be a fun one to work on. Any chance you have more of those nifty little animations for all the other animals from the game... or perhaps a preview of the ones from Series 2? I'd love to see 'em. You just can't go wrong with a bear that does a handstand.

I've beaten the Bernaziod. it's not very difficult. you just go on and battle just like your battling a regular animal. Once you get the hang of it its actually pretty easy.
