Holy hole in the doughnut, Ambush Bug is the coolest name IŽve heard for a very long time.
IŽll go pestering my comicbookshopguy for it. As I know him (and the comic-bying-scene in Vienna) he will have the whole stash by hand and be ready to sell it for a highly exagerated price.

there's a confusing sentence fragment in here
Jonni DC, a female version of Johnny DC, a company mascot used by DC during the silver age, mostly in in-house ads.

I read it. I loved it. The world needs more Ambush Bug. I tend to be a fan of comical superheroes in general, but the Bug is special. Nothing Irwin (his real name. How nerdy am I to know that?) has ever done has been less than spectacular.
Even awesome comedy characters like Plastic Man and Deadpool are landed with the occasional writer who doesn't "get" them, and the results are disappointing. But Giffen has always taken care to see to it that the Bug is exceptionally funny.
I would go so far to say that he deserves a movie, but it seems to me that his obscurity and cult fanbase are precisely the reason nobody has tried to cash in by giving him "wider appeal", i.e. ruining what makes him special to the rest of us. If it means he stays this awesome, I'd be happy to wait another 22 years for more Ambush Bug.

I loved how he had to go ask Ace the Bat-Hound for a clue.

Reminds me somewhat of Mr. Impossible or Impy for short.
