I've been trying to find this game for years, it looked incredibly cool (had a chance to buy it when it came out in stores, but passed for some reason. Haven't really forgiven myself for that). But whenever I come across an auction, I get outbidded at the last minute (and I never have enough money to spend on the online stores, where they're ridiculously expensive).

Glad to hear more great things about it, even if it pushes my want for the game even higher (and I haven't even played it yet and still think it's criminal not to have a save feature. That seems like something that would be key in this game). Hopefully I'll find it sooner or later.

Hopefully his next game will be on the shelves a bit longer than Electroplankton was.

....I like the Electroplankton level in Brawl. The colors are pretty and the music enjoyable.

I haven't played Super Smash Bros. Brawl because I'm not particularly into those games, but I can tell you without a doubt that Electroplankton is a completely unique gaming experience on the DS. So regardless of how annoying the level in Brawl may be, definitely make a point to check out the real DS game.

I never got how you can't swim in the water in the Brawl stage.

I've heard of this game before Brawl came out but knew nothing about it. Obviously my interest was raised with the Hanenbow stage (which is indeed a horrible stage, and why can't I swim in the water, dammit?), but I had no idea it was so rare. Some things are just never meant to be loved by the wider population.
