Stuff like this is why the 80s should have never ended. Classic.

So Freddy has nightmares about Dokken? Dokken must be the ultimate badass. I figured Freddy would have nightmares about having to make really cheasy sequels with lower and lower budgets.

I remember seeing Dokken supporting AC/DC back in the 80's. As a climax during "dream warriors", Don Dokken threw his mike stand into the air, one hand outstretched skyward as if in metal triumph to catch it on the return journey. Funny thing was it came down, he missed it and it hit him on the side of the head knocking him flying. He missed the end of the song!

The 80's have magic in them.
Is that really Robert Englund? I mean, there's not really a clear shot of him (he's always on the shadows, too far away or partially obscured) so I don't know.
But if it's really him, then wow. Nice he decided to appear in the video.

Goddamn, I WANT that guitar. I don't care if I haven't played in years. And yeah, 80's music was great.

Hot damn, that's a catchy tune... first time for me to hear the song/see the clip, so thanks for posting the article! The only problem is I've had it stuck in my head for the last couple of days.
I dunno, any excuse to walk around singing in falsetto... :p

Notice how Don Dokken moves? That's because his human form can barely muster the power to control the METAL pulsating within!

Awesome.
I personally like the Fat Boys song better though, just me.

Yeah we already had the "Freddy Rap" vote and "Nightmare On My Street" won by a pretty large margin. I still might review the Fat Boys video sometime though...

There's a Fishbone song called "Freddies Dead" which I always thought was about Mr. Kruger. I just found out last week it's not.

It's actually a cover song originally by Curtis Mayfield. Although I prefer Fishbones version
How About Do The Freddy from his greatest hits record?

Heheh, yeah I actually bought that Freddy's Greatest Hits album when it first came out. I was all excited to see him on the cover of a record, and even though I had just got my first CD player, I couldn't resist the urge to buy it. Sadly, the cover was the best thing about that album. I'll probably review it here on the site sometime and include a few mp3s so you can hear just how awful it was. If you thought his razor claws scratching a chalkboard was a grating sound, just wait 'til you hear a sampling of this album...
But for now, let us recommence Rockin' with Dokken!

They should have put Freddy on guitar at some point in this video for a solo.

Freddy already shredded on an electric guitar in that episode of "Freddy's Nightmares" that I reviewed a while back. Maybe this will jog your heavy metal memory:

I must have missed that one. I only have about 4 VHS tapes of the show. I like the picture below it with Freddy doing the "Daffy".

I uploaded all of MTV's Freddy's Hour, which ran as a promo piece for Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. It was just a load of clips from the previous Freddy flicks with nightmare themed music videos and video-jocky BS thrown in. On the good side, it had the Fat Boy's "Are You Ready for Freddy" vid and a bunch of old '80s commercials.
Enjoy!

Great classic song and video in the days when videos were actually shown on MTV.

after i read this,i put in my DVD of ANOES3 and skipped to the credits just to hear the damn song, then i did it again
now,i'm not really a fan of their,or most any 'hair band' music, but this was a pretty decent tune
and it kinda helped drown out the song from that jerk ass axe chocolate spray commercial temporarily

George Lynch was the only thing that kept Dokken from sucking.
I miss these videos.

All 44 episodes of Freddy's Nightmares are now playing on the Chiller Channel. The cheese just oozes across the screen.
Love me that Freddy smartass!
