No, but in Beast Machines the Maximals had to achieve a zen like peace of mind to transform. Which would say, even when at it's hardest to transform, it seems painless if not pleasurable.

Of course in Heavy Metal War, Megatron beat Optimus so bad it hurt to transform... but that was due to severe ass kicking.
