This is why I love the original Halloween series, and hate the new one. Y'know, I bet Jamie Lee Curtis' take on Laurie Strode could kick the ass of the new version.
Hell, I bet she could take on the new Michael as well.
Oh, and "His blood starts pumpkins out"? A little Halloween Freudian Slip, RoG?

That guy in #10 has the best Jherri Curl I have ever seen. He should have made it for that very reason lol.

I would enjoy a top ten Chucky kills list also. From what I've seen, I don't remember Chucky actually being able to kill that many people but apparently he has a body count of twenty seven.

Yeah number 8 was always my favorite. kinda ironic that both their names are Mike though. Mike Vs. Mike!

I particularly like the number two kill, but I've always interpreted michaels reaction to be that of an artist admiring his work...which I guess is pretty much what you said, so I'll shut up. It was that little tilt of the head though that makes michael my favourite screen slasher...there is something purely evil about him...and the fact that nick castle played him in one of the sequels and also directed one of my fav childhood films "the boy who could fly" is just so sweet...
As for the new halloween...I have mixed feelings. I'm not particularly one who regards texts as sacrosanct, even though the original halloween is in my top five horror films...there is both much that is not great (young michael just wasn't scary...old michael was too big and kind of detracted from what I thought was always cool about michael, that he was this seemingly normal individual who is anything but)...but I also find much to enjoy...I like scout taylor compton's laurie, and thought the ending with her losing her shit like marilyn burns at the end of texas was really effective. I absolutely love the tableaux after young michael kills his family. I thought mrs. Zombie was great; I really felt for her. I thought the killing of the michaels sister, though not as iconic as the original had a nice brutality to it. Its fair to say I have mixed feelings, but the shape will always be my main go to guy for slaughter...

Whoops forgot to explain why. First off, Michael strangled him with one arm. ONE ARM! And still had the strength to stab him with a pitchfork. And second, when Michael scratched the car, did you see how big other Mike's eyes got? Wow. Can't wait to see what else you got in store for us on the remaining days of Halloween!

What about the Shotgun Impalement or Jamie getting her rib cage torn out on farm equipment?

The Producers version of part 6, which you can find usually at any local comic con on the bootleg table, is a much better film. Almost worthy of it's own review.
I've always preferred the first 3 movies and H20. 8 was terrible (and I initially thought the reality show approach could be fun) and 4-6 are fun, just I like the others more. The two Rob Zombie films are... just there. Nothing special. Here's hoping the announced (though on hold) Halloween 3D turns out to be more in the vein of what makes Michael such a good character.

I always loved the scene where the guy slips on the puddle of blood in Halloween 2. Roger Ebert said it best "Finally, one of the characters kills himself by slipping on the wet blood and hitting his head on the floor. Sooner or later, it had to happen."

On September 24, 2009, it was announced that Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer will be directing and writing, respectively, the next installment in the Halloween franchise; this time in 3-D.[58] According to the Weinsteins, the next Halloween is set for an October 2010 release.
Here's hoping!

I may be considered crazy, but the thing I always loved the best about the Halloween movies was the character of Dr. Loomis. Donald Pleasance was just amazingly good at that part. And his enthusiasm for the movies was also great. "I stop at twenty-two!"

Hell yeah, Rog! This is what I was talkin' about! Great Halloween entry, and I'll gladly accept as many Top 10 Kills lists as you can dish out. Well done, sir.

As bad as Halloween Resurrection was, at least I finally got to see the kid from American Pie (who is ALWAYS smiling) get stabbed in the head. The rest was garbage, but that scene alone made it worth my admission.
That, and the movie theater accidentally ran "Like Mike" at first....and nobody in the theater noticed for a good 10 minutes.
Also, Halloween 666: The Producers Cut is awesome, just make sure you get a copy with no visible timecode.

I had no idea I was the only guy who loved the Halloween remake.
And I once did a 30+ page report on the original Halloween back in school.
It was just FUN to watch.
Zombie's H2, while far from perfect, was also just FUN to watch.
Fuck storyline and continuity. At this point I'm watching these remakes just to see if they are FUN to watch.

Awesome list, but I gotta say my favorite is the shotgun impalement.
Come on. Shotgun impalement!
That could be a band.

I loved 5. YOUR HEAD ASPLODE.
Also, although I've never seen the films, much to my dismay, Micheal scares the shit out of me, and especially Young Micheal, just because the way he was in a daze after killing his sister makes me think he didn't do it by will, he did it because of some instinct that told him to, and he listened. That thought alone scares me.
