What does that have to do with you shipping the package out late?
I didn't mean to pick on you. I just found it funny that you were the one being impatient. :)
Zhukov just received the package on the 23rd. I understand you're anxious, but give him a little more time.
I mean, it's not like you've been waiting for 2 weeks for him to post pictures, like Captain516 had to. Right?
Yeah, because it's not like anyone sent out their package 3 weeks past the due date.
Seriously, Babality claimed that her not getting a 20 dollar present is worse then her mother dying? Wow, I don't know if thats a joke that went over my head but calm down guys.
Don't base your whole Christmas on this one event next time. You keep thinking that you're making me feel guilty by mentioning that I posted pictures 2 weeks late every other post, but you won't, I followed the deadline and thats that. I also promised to repost the pictures and I will, but when I want, not when you do.
Well, hope the rest of you had fun on christmas, i did

Absolute worse Christmas ever. Worse than when my mom's friend died of cancer and her daughter came in to give her Christmas present just before she passed away.
Mom's friend, not his Mom. Also fairly certain pancakes is a dude.

I don't think anyone cares if you feel guilty or not at this point. From some of the posts I have seen I think they compare you to taxes, something annoying that they can't rid themselves of and that won't go away :lol

No one came close to shipping 3 weeks late. What are you talking about?
...You keep thinking that you're making me feel guilty by mentioning that I posted pictures 2 weeks late every other post, but you won't, I followed the deadline and thats that.
Are you still referring to me? I wasn't trying to make you feel guilty. Actually, I wasn't even talking about you. I was saying that Captain516 had to wait the longest from package received, to pictures posted.
I realize that you were the cause of that, but my post really had nothing to do with you.

I'm glad you had a good Christmas. So did I. :)

I don't create the drama, it's people that whine about me that do
And it is your actions that lead people to this whining.
And even when they started it, you took the bait and escalated it, hence the drama. It isn't like they were wrong about what they called you out about. The fact that you referred to guilt in your replies says you at least acknowledge what they said has some merit. But a mature person would at that point have not responded, unless they felt deep down they were wrong. So you did technically follow the rules by waiting till the last possible moment to post your pictures. But sitting on your gift for so long was inconsiderate to captain. A mature person would have at least copped to that in a contrite manner. Or at the least, ignored being called out about it because they technically followed the rules, and defending their actions was unnecessary. But you had to justify what you did. Since you technically followed the rules, you did not have to take the bait. Yet you did, and the fact that you mentioned guilt means you knew what they were going for and furthermore had to in some very small degree felt some. In other words, their posts hit home.
To be perfectly frank, I don't know why you participated in this event. Offhand I would say it is because you just wanted more presents this year, because from your posts, I think you are all about you. Case in point, where you say things like this:
What the fuck are you half brained dipshits talking about? I don't want to post a story this year, because it seems no one is, so ill take some pictures and post 1 or 2 sentences about the movies he sent me.
I have a deadline to when I have to post the pictures, and it will be before then.
I know you all want to suck my dicks, just make a line and i'll address you appropriately, no skipping.
Yeah, that was what Christmas was intended to be when it started way back when :rolleyes
Or these two:
Oh my poor conscience, it can't take it, it just can't! How dare I not post the pictures as soon as I get the stuff!
*Sniff sniff* I'm hurting everyone in the community by not appealing to them, aww.
Poppers, sorry about your family emergency, and congratulations on posting the pictures as soon as possible.
Me on the other hand, did not have an emergency, and took some extra time to post pictures, poor me. I have let down the whole community here on I-mockery, the horror.
Also, if I really did single handedly stop all those people from joining the secret santa this year, then good, ill add it to my book of achievements.
These two show that you are all about you all the time, which is not what this was supposed to be about. It was supposed to be about putting together something fun for someone else. I had a ton of fun making a silly fake ransom note and was pretty thrilled with my idea for a gift for Ozzie. I also enjoyed having my GF take pictures of me with Zhukov's gifts. The gifts themselves, while enjoyably for their own sake, came in third to those two things, which was why I wanted to do this event. I would bet besides yourself, every other participant feels the same way about why they joined.
Somewhere inside you, there is a mature person waiting to get out (hence why you felt and acknowledge that guilt, despite your vehement denials to the contrary). Just listen to that little voice that told you to feel guilty once in awhile, it knows what it is talking about most of the time.
Microshock
Dec 28th, 2009, 01:05 PM
You spent a lot of time doing detective work but seem to lack common sense.
I did not cause drama. As you see, I never started anything on here, the only thing I did was delay my pictures for 2 weeks because I have other stuff to do other than secret santa on i-mockery. And no I won't tell you what other stuff I had to do
Do I feel guilty for that? No. Did I understand that Captain was just like any other human being and wanted to see his presents being posted? Yes.
Maybe if people didn't attack me on here from the moment I said i was joining this event, I wouldn't have to be such an asshole this year, but alas thats what happened.
You haven't been here too long but all the previous events have been fine. I was going to have fun with the pictures and I did enjoy looking at all the other posts but apparently people like Zomboid have weekends of fun jerking off to the insults they post to me. I don't think anyone would be in a rush to post pictures when about 90 percent of the people on here make it their job to bash me at every turn.
Oh and I know that all the posts after mine will just be ones bashing me yet again. That's just my psychic skills in action ladies

Dec 28th, 2009, 01:13 PM

I knew that what I said wouldn't get through to you and you would try to make an insult as a reply. That or you are a tad predictable. Either/or
Though you denying that your actions did not lead to these bashing replies, and denying you did not escalate is a flat out lie
And I guess guilt is a human reaction, so my bad for expecting it of you

You all claim I have a shitty attitude, but it's actually not me. As soon as I posted my pictures, Zomboid thinking he'd be funny to his little circle, immediately started bashing them. Instead of giving constructive criticism like hey, you should retake those pictures or resize them, let's just insult him.
Change your ways pals. I play nice when you play nice
Pentegarn
Dec 28th, 2009, 05:34 PM
You've missed the point. While Zomboid may have made fun of your pics, it was your attitude that really soured things. I know at this point you won't change, in fact I no longer care that you refuse to change. You are free to act as you wish I suppose. But freedom of speech does not give freedom from consequence, and people will bash you when you say the things you do. In other words, you could as you put it, 'change your ways' as well.
Oh and I do know what I am talking about when it comes to more people will participate if you don't, we have people this year saying they won't do it next year if you are in it. We had people not participate because you did it this year, if you recall you even bragged about that fact earlier in this thread. So don't act like your attitude isn't detrimental to this event.

Dec 28th, 2009, 06:05 PM
I'd like to point out that Microshock has indeed messed up in the past, as well. This attitude is nothing new and you'd hope that by the third(?) year he's participated, he'd have matured a little, but it's clear that he hasn't.
I mocked your pictures because you did a pretty terrible job. You took like two weeks to finally post them, despite being one of the first people to get your gifts, and you essentially said "fuck you" to everyone for wanting to see what Captain sent you. Despite what you think, kiddo, I don't really care about my popularity on a message board. I genuinely love Christmas and I like this event because it's a nice, festive way for people to have a bit of fun and get into the spirit of the holidays. You shit all over that with your immaturity. You're happy that you're causing people to not want to participate (check out my split infinitive!)? You really do need to grow up.
I hope that everyone else managed to have fun with this. Aside from Microshock's bullshit, I think it was a success. Thanks 10k for organizing, and thanks again, Willie, for the awesome gifts. Add me to the list of people who aren't participating if you do next year, you brat.

Hey Pancakes, your friend's mother dying is more important than you not getting a 20 dollar present. You should be the one feeling guilty for saying that.
Believe me, i will be in every future SS event on here, even just to see all of you not join.
Oh and there would be ZERO drama if the 10 people who make up these forums simply didn't concentrate on every action i take. Next time have a rule that you should post pictures within a week of getting a package. And then put my name there as the cause of that rule.

As I said, he needs to mature.
Most of us were in a hurry to post our pics (I was in distress that I had to wait 2 days for my GF to bring the camera). And while we were upset for Captain over the unnecessarily long wait Microshock was putting Captain through, what really pissed off everyone was the brazen 'fuck everyone that isn't me' attitude Microshock displayed. At least last year he displayed some contrition when he fucked over Protoclown, and even sent a make up box. That spec of maturity is absent this year however. How can you get older and less mature?
And please Microshock, don't give us the 'it's everyone else and not me' reply again. Nobody is taking your side in that regard, and everyone who has chimed in has agreed that your attitude sucks and that you are to blame.

second, i'd like to wish everyone a happy new year. i hope you all did something fun and exciting, instead of working all night like i did. a champagne toast at midnight is only awesome if you're not in the middle of cleaning up and trying to get out of the kitchen.
third, thanks go out to dextire on keeping track of... well, everything. he definitely gave us all a run for the money by sending his gift (which was full of awesome) out so early. kudos.
fourth and last, i had a lot of fun with this secret santa event. thank you, 10k volt ghost for running it, and for my awesome presents! having read over the posts that i missed over the last few days, i'd have to agree with stonewar-- being an adult now, i don't get a lot of actual presents (as in, not money, or candy) these days, so it was really nice to get something totally silly and fun for christmas this year. and even if microshock participates next year, i think i'll join anyway if there are enough people. to be completely fair, he hasn't done anything to detract from my personal enjoyment of this event, so i have no real cause to hate him. on the official side, he did send out his secret santa gift (which contained no dollar store items at all, as far as i can tell) late, but so did a handful of other people-- even 10k volt ghost didn't send his stuff out until the 9th-- but it turned out fine, because if you followed the directions and sent it at least via priority mail, then your secret santa would still have plenty of time to post photos. on the subject of photos, microshock did post his pictures before the deadline passed while there were other people who could not/did not. granted, he did say he was going to do mini-reviews of the movies, and then didn't do them, but at least he posted the photos. also granted, the photos should have been resized and less blurry, but to be totally fair, it took me a while to figure out the settings when i first started using a digital camera a few years back. his attitude throughout has been rather off-putting, but reading the past posts, anyone can see that escalation was on both sides, and that our pickled patriarch rog asked that we not bitch and moan in the official event thread. i'm not religious at all, but christmas is still a time for giving, forgiving, and being with loved ones. i'm not exactly defending microshock, and i would not cry if he was banned from next year's event, but i don't think it's completely fair to relentlessly attack him. that's just my two cents. carry on!

You don't even know he was in the hospital. He could've been jerking off for 24 days straight and completely forgotten about this and then when the time came, OH WAIT, I NEED AN EXCUSE.
At least poppers had the decency to tell someone.
The idiots in this forum just baffle me. Zomboid, just trade in your car for 3 dollars ( its approximate value) and go get some medical attention.
I am right, you are wrong, just admit to it. I will be in every future secret santa event on here. I will. You can choose not to be.
I don't think I'll be nice here anymore, because I don't appreciate getting bashed for not taking pictures of shit from thrift shops. Captain, if you spent the money on something decent instead of a bunch of crap, maybe I'd get my pictures out faster.
I don't need a tiny bamboo waterfall with a hair in it or a used cap. And I don't need a Wolverine figure with broken claws. You didn't spend any money on it other than shipping.
The gifts I sent my person, I did spend money. My money that I earned because oh I am not a spoiled kid, I actually have a job taking care of animals.
Zomboid, you're too much of a piece of shit to even show your face on here.
You whining will not get me banned from the event, because I did more for this event than any of you did. No one even had the consideration to think WHY I didn't post my pictures for 2 weeks.

Wow, you have some nerve.
First, when are you ever nice?
Second, Captains gifts weren't up to your high standards, eh Microshock? It wasn't up to the high standards of such gifts as:
an enormous red bow
a massager sponge
4 packs of gum
a poncho
devil horns (that don't light up like they were supposed to)
a hair clip
a pencil topper
a losing scratched lottery ticket
and some sort of fish toy
Or:
A pregnant pilates DVD
A pacifier
Latex gloves
A fashion girl doll
A santa hat
A foot scrubber
A Shrek scrubber
A dog chew toy
A hand mirror
some 25 cent dino toy
A pirate toy
Well, after those gems I can see why you would have such high standards for the Secret Santa gifts you receive :rolleyes
You are the worst human being I have ever had the displeasure to interact with. You are immature, unpleasant, delusional, paranoid, you have an unearned sense of entitlement. Socialists laugh at how you are bad for America. Small dogs run in fear of your horrible aura. Little children feel a sense of foreboding in your presence. You have a higher Thetan level than Tom Cruise. You are the reason The View is still on the air. The hot air you spew causes 90% of Global Warming. If you died, all cancer cells would probably die too because, who would lead them? Your existence is likely responsible for Rosie O'Donnel having a career.

Not to add on to the pile, but after Microshock called Captain's most impressive haul of comic books, movies, and various other stuff "shit from thrift shops", I thought I would point out that at least one of the two gifts that Microshock sent was most certainly just something he had sitting around his house.
As evidenced by it being addressed to him, as a gift from someone else. >:

No the age cap is unnecessary. A Microshock cap of 0 I am on board with however.
But we can't let Microshock ruin it for people like elx who want to join in but wanted to wait it out a year first. So while an age cap would put the kaibash on Microshock, it would shut out the younger people who do know how to act like human beings.
If Mark Gastineau can get a whole rule in the NFL made for his antics, I see no reason a Microshock rule can't be implemented.

Elaborate : add details, as to an account or idea; clarify the meaning of and discourse in a learned way, usually in writing; "She elaborated on the main ideas in her dissertation"
Don't make yourself feel so good, you're not smart.
Pentegarn

wow, you failed so badly there I almost feel too sorry for you to tell you how you just failed English. You posted the verb definition of elaborate. As in, "Could you elaborate on what you mean" Yet you used 'elaborate' as an adjective. As in 'That was an elaborate plan'
Elaborate: (adjective): marked by complexity, fullness of detail, or ornateness
As I said Microshock, you are developmentally disabled

Let's put it this way you were just outsmarted by someone who you thought was as you put it, 'not smart'. So, if you are keeping score here, you are now less than, 'not smart'.
