I had a good reason for it. Baylor was on a sharp decline in the past 2 weeks, and hot teams do well while not so hot teams do poorly. Plus first teams just as often do very well (see Gonzaga, George Mason, and VCU). For the first part of that game it looked like my upset pick (I don't count VCU over Wichita St as an upset) was going to hit. Then the first 4 minutes were over and Baylor remembered they were Baylor. The one thing I was sure would not happen.

This drives me nuts. How is it that every coach doesn't see this.

Whenever teams are down inevitably they start jacking up desperation 3 pointer after desperation 3 pointer and they are lucky to hit 1 out of 10 in that situation.

Now lets say instead of jacking up 10 desperation 3 pointers, you went for shots inside and around the key.

In a good situation, you will hit about 75% of those shots, that's 14 more points than those bad shots got you.

Heck, even in a bad situation where you are making 50% of those shots you are still sitting on 10 more points than you had.

It seems so simple, yet these kids act like only the 3 will win the day, yet it almost never does.

OK so here is how it breaks down.

It is down to between me and Babs. The only game that matters for this is OSU v. Kansas (though if Kentucky loses to Louisville I think Babs wins too because nobody can catch him point wise then, Colonel and myself have UK winning it and so does Babs)

To that end Babs is going to be rooting doubly hard for OSU obviously. 1) his team. 2) they win, he wins

I also am rooting for OSU (would rather take the loss on here and see the win for the Buckeyes) but the game is a win-win slightly less situation for me.

Either way the Final Four will be interesting
