Fuck Thanksgiving, I'm more interested in horror movies than a stuffed turkey. With that in mind, I present to you my latest spooky movie spotlight... a movie I've wanted to do a big in-depth feature on for a long time. It's called "Prince of Darkness" and it's one of the best horror movies ever. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out on an overlookd John Carpenter classic.

Loomis (Donald Pleasance) rules. He was always one of my favorite things about the Halloween flicks too. I always liked his voice... cuz anytime he spoke it always sounded like it was his dying breath.

Does anyone know how the name "Loomis" became so readily associated with horror movies? My best guess is because Marion Crane's boyfriend was named Sam Loomis in Hitchcock's "Psycho." Maybe Carpenter named Pleasance's character after him as a tribute?
