View Full Version : I had 2 interviews today

The first one was for a good job, but it was a phone interview and I fucking hate the telephone. So I don't know how it went. I have to wait and see if I get a second interview. But he did say my resume was "top tier" (I found this shocking) so maybe that will make up for any stopids on the phone.

The second one was......... wow.
I totally got the wrong impression from the phone when I spoke with them earlier this week. Before I even walked in the door my head just kept saying "no."
I won't go into it all because it's far too long of a story, but after he had looked at my portfolio (completely seemingly unimpressed) he asks me how good I am at photoshop. Then he shows me something that looks like this:

http://www.strangepuppets.com/misc/composite.jpg

And asks if I know how to make a "believable" composite like that. (I am only slightly exaggerating this image)

actually. now that I look at it... I'm probably not exaggerating at all

-edit-
he proceeded to point out all the composited aspects of the image for me.

I bet they were trying to trap you.....
Maybe.
..
not..

Anyways, GREAT job on the pic you have there, I am mesmerized by its "believableness" and.. erm good luck with that job anyways, its looking pretty good from here.

You should have shown him the picture of the syst on your leg, and told him he's fired.

Then take his wallet and all the money from it while bitch slapping h im in the face with it. Then tell him to get a job.

You would have made Presidente!

did that picture by any chance come from the adobe photoshop book? I majored in imaging technology in college and i think i remember that photoshopped picture being my very first project.

I had an interview Wednesday. I thought it went terrible, I felt like such an idiot trying to make up lame ass respones to those stupid senario questions like "Was there ever a time when you were faced with multiple challanges and you had a conflict with a co worker and your best friend just died?" Well all my responses sucked, and I was nervous as hell. Today I got a call that said I got the job. I will soon be working Dell tech support for 13.25 and hour.

Whoa congrats! Tech support is rough, but 13.25 US an hour? I was making 12 CDN an hour... fuck I gotta move to the states...

I had a interview today at a music store. They didn't like the fact that I could only work three days a week cause I already have another full time job, and I am a full time student. Damnit.

ELEVEN FUCKING INTERVIEWS IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS.

I am dead serious. I didn't even do anything special. My cover letter sucked. I'm under qualified. The guy with the second highest number of interviews only has 7.

:(

EDIT: In case you were wondering, these are real, actual, 100% genuine contract jobs in real companies. :(
