I just took in my bucket-o-change to my local bank to deposit and somehow I missed a few canadian coins in the bunch. There was quite a bit of coinage and I try to sift them out as best I can but sometimes it just happens. Receiving canadian coins from stores happens often in Michigan because of the proximity and the stores clerk's inattention. Anyway, this teller gives me this stern look and then opens her mouth like she's preparing to berate me or something. I can see it in her beedy little bank teller eyes. I intercept and ask that she just give me the change and my receipt please. She looked miserable that her thunder was taken away and I walked away smiling. It was a good day.

You should have told her you had a bomb. That always shuts 'em up.

CHESAPEAKE — Maybe the would-be robber missed the instructional video on how to hold up a bank.

It was nearing 3 p.m. Monday when a man walked into the BB&T at 1809 Greenbrier Parkway and handed a teller a note saying that he was robbing the bank.

To his surprise, the teller handed the piece of paper back.

“The woman looked at the note and politely slid it back to him and said, 'I can’t accept this,’ ” said police spokesman Tommy Kullman.

The man slid the note back again.

“This time, she picked it up, balled it up and threw it back at him,’’ Kullman said.

The man picked up the note and walked out of the bank and down Greenbrier Parkway.

Bank employees called police.

While the teller’s actions foiled the robber’s plan, Kullman said police don’t recommend such a response.

“We don’t want anyone to get hurt,’’ he said.

The man is described as black, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket and black pants.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Chesapeake Crime Line at (888) LOCK-U-UP.

If she threw the note back without ever looking, he has it and can say it wasn't a robbery note :/

He should've ate the note and accused the teller of being a disgruntled former lover.
