I was channel surfing and I saw the interview with the girl a while back...I've got zero faith in this movie :(

Big budget horror movies with classic slashers don't exactly end up good these days, y'know?

Jason X looked like a sci-fi channel movie. :/

I don't care about the plot or the actors or anything, I just want to see the scene when freddy and jason duke it out.

Yeah, I'm also hanging onto the little piece of hope that they'll have some good kill scenes too. Freddy better win >:

I'd hope some of you DON'T care about the actors, because I know that it's not the same Jason.

Chojin: :lol

And this movie was pretty much destined to suck as soon as 1995 happened. Around that time, good slasher movies kinda just died. If they make it more like jason x and a lot less like the new halloweens though, it could still be a good movie for the fans. It's got the title character from ginger snaps, too :love

Jason X was hilarious when he killed the campers that wanted to have sex in a sleeping bag. :)

Freddy Kreuger scared me when I was younger. :(

Jason X was awesome because it was just like all of the old Friday The 13th films (minus the more sucky "jason goes to hell" one). It's the last two Halloween films, and all the recent Hellraiser ones that have been absolutely pathetic.

I agree. More childhood heroes crumble to dust.

I guess, with the exception of Jason X, horror movie+space setting=certain bomb.

Just look at Hellraiser Bloodlines and Leprechaun 4. At least we haven't seen Friday The 13th In Tha Hood yet (and now I hope there are no movie pitchmakers or script drafters browsing this thread)

Jason X was a laughable lamefest. That would have been all good and fine if it wasn't intended to be a horror film. :/

Anyway, if this movie has ONE black person in it, it's going to suck. That's not a racist comment. It's a rule of modern horror films comment. Sterotypically ghetto black people with their stereotypically ghetto one-liners and attitude. I can still hear Busta Rhymes saying "Tricka treat, muthafucka!"

I don't know a single person that went into that movie expecting a "horror" movie. Nor do I think that the film-makers really thought of it as such either. Those movies are totally comedic, which is why they make the deaths so hysterical.

Exactly. I saw it expecting some good kills and plenty of cheesiness and it delivered. The last two halloween movies were supposed to be good but they were so horrible I can't even watch em now. Still though...jason x did have it's moments where I shuddered at the lameness of it. Cheesy kills rule, but one liners from the meat? No. Just no >:

And fuck you guys. Hellraiser: Bloodlines wasn't bad. It was a lot better than part 3....ugh. Keep in mind that most of bloodlines wasn't set in space. But pinhead was never a traditional slasher anyway. Freddy and jason could never make chains rip people apart with a mere nod in their direction >:

Bloodlines did rule. The Chattering Beast 4 life, yo. :(

I too hope this movie doesn't suck ass, I've been a fan of Freddy since I was wee (not so much Jason, he's scary but he lacks charisma) and I was disappointed by New Nightmare.....big time.

I don't know, I though that Event Horizon kicked ass.

I never got a chance to see Event Horizon, but I didn't include it because I heard that it was suspense, not horror. Who makes up these stupid ass titles anyway (like when you walk into Sam Goody and they have death metal albums under "Pop Rock")

Jason didn't have charisma. He just was. That's what made him so interesting. Live only to kill. It was interesting because it was scary back in the 80s, when we were all in grade school ::shrugs::
