Feb 2nd, 2004, 12:38 PM
You mean the BBC TV series?
Feb 2nd, 2004, 01:00 PM
I don't know, it was a long ass video which was exactly like BBC television only didn't seem to span over episodes. At least my father said it was a movie.
Feb 2nd, 2004, 01:57 PM
Don't even bother with the movie. It's shit. Just read the book.
Feb 2nd, 2004, 09:27 PM
read all 5 books. i'm sure they're better than any movie or show made out of them.
Feb 3rd, 2004, 01:30 AM
Yeah, to be honest the first book was really amusing and a good read but I swear to god the other three books made me damn well fall asleep. And apparantly there is a 5th one so watch how fast I go to read it. :(
Feb 3rd, 2004, 01:39 AM

Feb 3rd, 2004, 05:51 AM
It was a tv series, really obviously a tv series and not in any way movie like. It was also incredibly low budget and shit.
Feb 3rd, 2004, 06:14 PM

Feb 3rd, 2004, 10:20 PM

Feb 4th, 2004, 04:40 AM
I thought the books were based on the radio show, and he kept writing himself into a corner, so he kept coming up with all that strange shit.
Feb 4th, 2004, 05:11 AM

Feb 4th, 2004, 09:36 AM
yeah, like last year or something.
"Douglas died unexpectedly in May 2001 of a sudden heart attack. He was 49. He had been living in Santa Barbara, California with his wife and daughter, and at the time of his death he was working on the screenplay for a feature film version of Hitchhiker." (http://www.douglasadams.com/dna/bio.html)
Feb 5th, 2004, 08:43 AM
they realesed a partitialy finished book they found on his mac after he died (a bunch of short stories). its like grave robbing for the 21st century.
there is also a new radio show coming out soon, with douglus adams as the voice of the insulting alien (forget the name) which he recorded years ago if they ever made a new series.
i got 4 marvin the paranoid android mp3s. help me.
Feb 7th, 2004, 12:48 PM
The show wasn't that bad. Hell, considering it was made at the end of the Tom Baker run of Doctor Who and damn close to the end of the Blakes 7 series, for what it is it's not bad at all.
Just sad it didn't last for another season...which considering would be hard since the other two books weren't written yet.
