this probably belongs in the political forum...actually i know it does, but i've been here longer than a lot of you people, so i am going to put this here just out of sheer, ummm, because-i-want-to-ism.
plus, i really think as many people as possible should check this out and i really don't feel like hearing ronnie spew all kinds of crap out about it.

Glow; I'm in the eraly stages of organizes a reading through the local unitarian church. I'm not real jazzed by the translations they have on the site, but I've yet to have the time to seek out others. Any thoughts?

through the church, eh? well, ummmm, i suppose you can't use the one i found that starts off with lysistrata whispering "tits and clits, tits and clits" to herself, huh?
maybe you could do aristophanes' peace instead?
i dunno.

Nah, it's gotta be Lysistrata. But you're right. Even for Unitarians that's a bit strong.

it's a play by an ancient greek, well playwrite (right? wright?) named aristaphones (sp?). anywhoo, the play is basically about a woman, who gathers all these other women up and has them all decide that they will not "give it up" to their hubbies until they decide to make peace with each other.
it's a theatrical anti-war statement. no sex from the ladies until you big boys can put down your phallic guns and take care of da busidness at the hizzy.
the production, adaption, reading, whatever, is being done worldwide on march 3rd. i guess it's really just another cool anti-war demonstration...is it clearer now?
you should all go. :)
