Protoclown Thanks Max, I appreciate it. I just found one example of something vaguely similar that I remembered (G.I.JOE 22) but it's not quite what I'm looking for, and I can use as many examples as I can get ahold of.

Comic covers

I seem to recall a comic book cover some time ago where some of the characters were depicted as pawns on a chessboard. But I can't for the life of me recall what book it was, let alone what issue. Does anybody know?

Also, does anybody have any good examples of a comic cover that gives away a major spoiler inside the issue?

I'm working on my next "Tales From the Longbox" column and would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
