| Perndog | Nihilistic means you don't like society and you just want to fuck things up. |

| Royal Tenenbaum | If "nihilistic" meant "huge pile of shit" and "worst movie ever" you may have had a post. |

| theapportioner | The talented Tsai Ming-Liang's The River and What Time is it There? are more about generational alienation than nihilism, but they are definitely worth checking out. And on that theme, there's always The Graduate. |

| theapportioner | Maybe not "nihilistic", but Truffaut's 400 Blows is classic. |

| Royal Tenenbaum | William Wyler's "Wild Boys of the Road" ( http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0024772/ ) is one of the best, and earliest, films of this genre. The whole film is basically a call to ancarchy, which is hysterical because the film was made just before the Haye's Code, so this type of stuff was pretty much missing in the films throughout the entire decade following. At the end of the film FDR comes out and makes it all better, very very enjoyable. |

![]() and ![]() and ![]() You touched on the right topic, Jixby, because the movie I'm working on now is about nihilistic Hollywood Youth. I'm trying to bring the 1960s teen exploitation flick up to date. |
