sadie my dad's being the same way, modular. of course, i'm living rent-free in a house he and my mom own and i've been "on my own" for about fourteen years until this year, so that has a lot to do with it. plus, they hate the fact i'm singing rock 'n' roll in redneck dives, and they're convinced if i'd just go to church regularly all my problems would be solved.

Evil Robot I've been trying to get a job on an offshore oil rig with british petroleum, 15 days on and 15 days off at $75,000 a year. However, nepotism is a horrible thing since I don't know anybody in that industry.

Comrade Rocket you best bet is to tell him to go to hell, then get a crappy job somewhere, like mcdonalds. then save up your money and get a friend to go halfway on a place with you. it wont happen in one day but you gotta be patient.

Miss Modular
I want to throw things at my dad.

I wish my dad would get off my back. He's in such a hurry to get me a job. He's constantly asking me if I've sent my resume if there are any job leads. Tomorrow he wants me to go to Cornell and apply for a job. I went to their human resources website, and currently the only job that's available in the department I'm qualified for is "Marine Curator". I'm not qualified for that. And I can't move out of the house, because I don't have enough money to do that. I'm in a no-win situation and I can't stand him anymore.

I love him, but I just wish he'd be a little more patient.
