Soul*Assassin I cant get to grips with flak. I dont know. I think it's because I prefer CO's that are better in close combat but, having said that, I'd pick Flak over alot of the other CO's. Thanks for the link, I'll have a look.

Gurlugon I stole it from Advance Wars Net. Some L337 d00d named DuoMaxwell made it. http://awn.filenotfound.org/

Look around there. They have the Blue Moon and Orange Star Infantry GIFS as well, all the Mechs (except Black Hole's), and a Blue Moon Battle Copter.

EDIT: My favorite CO right now is Flak. I'm not too lucky with his damage, but he can really kick some ass.

Soul*Assassin I didnt get AW1 because I didnt think that i would enjoy it. But when Advance Wars 2 came out I thought i'd give it a go and I found myself playing it non stop. Its such a good game. I think my favourite CO is Sensei cuz his super power is really cool.

Drev I played it once before. I consider it being a hybrid of chess and games like warcraft and starcraft. I'm not ino it that much, but it sure is fun.

Gurlugon Mr. Mockery himself! Responding to my first post! Joy!

Well, hmm... Let's see. It's turn based. You capture cities, bases, airports, etc. You build. You move. It's best compared to chess. Each commanding officer has special attributes (cheap troops, longer range on missile/artillery-type units). It's very addictive. There's a Campaign mode for your story-centric gameplay (you unlock new commanding officers by meeting certain criteria); a War Room for playing the AI for credits (buy COs and new maps to play on); and Multiplayer modes.

AW2 is more of the same. There's one new unit, but a whole lot more COs. Fun, fun, fun.

Mockery I was actually interested in these games when I saw them because they looked interesting, but never got to try them out. What are they like anyway?

Gurlugon
Advance Wars series.

What do you folks think about the series? I play both games quite a lot. Any strategies you use? Favorite COs?</testing the waters>
