I saw it the other day, and found it quite puzzling. The movie kept wanting to end... but it didn't! They defeat the bad pirate captain, but the film doesn't end! Jack Sparrow escapes, but the film still doesn't end! What is going on!?!? Sparrow was camp as hell (with his two little beards!! Chase me!!) and there should have been more swashbuckling! As it was, the double acts with the two soldiers and the two ghost pirates was cool, if a little unnecessary. But best of all, the lasting image of a ghost pirate in a dress chasing his glass eye as it rolls down the ship deck with a huge fight going on around him was not to be missed!! |

i remeber gettin in a fight with rongi over this when i was fresh to this board.  I liked this movie because i expected a lot less from a disney movie. i don't think its the best movie of the summer, but it was pretty good. the acting from all the actors was pretty good and the special effects weren't all that bad. another thing i didn't excpect was it wasn't just good and bad, black and white. Our school is having homecoming with this movie as it s theme...

| Krythor | It was just fun. I felt that it got slightly tedious in parts when everything started started going around in circles, what with Sparrow changing sides constantly... but yeah. I wouldn't watch it again anytime soon, but it's nice to see a fresh adventure film at a time when we have Spy Kids, Harry Potter and new Star Wars movies rammed down our throats. | ||

. Johnny Depp is the only good actor we have in our hollywood society these days. And pirates was the movie of the season. It was a summer movie cause it had boats and pirates and gold and swashbuckling and stuff. I know I wouldn't want to watch that shit at Christmas or Easter. That movie was great. |

twas super fun, indeed. i don't know about movie of the whatever, but it was entertaining. so is once upon a time in mexico. what's up with jdepp doing all these movies all of a sudden? i mean, i'm not complaining, but WHAT IS UP? |

| Mockery | Awesome. Glad to see someone else was bored out of their minds with that film. I agree, Johnny did a good job as the pirate, but it wasn't nearly enough to salvage that weak flick. | ||

I didn't like Pirates of the Caribbean Am I alone? Except Depp's performance, I thought it was pretty dull. Still, every critic on the planet insists it's the movie of the season. I don't get it. |
