the_dudefather it has a TALL screen, unless ikaruga gets ported over its a bit useless.

plus those evil people have changed lara's clothes for tomb raider, its like they are trying to erase the 'green swimsuit' lara of the ninties from memory.

how to change a game, shut it down, take out screws, take out battery, insert game card, screw closed again, startup. PLAY!

cant wait to do that on a crowded bus

oh, and it only sold leas than 500 over here in the uk, image trying to find someone to play multiplayer games with.

Helm It's funny how everybody said this would bomb big time and it actually bombed even worse that what was expected. Considering the fact that it got television advertisement even in greece, and all for nothing, nokia is surely going to feel the burn on this one.

Ouch... they've only sold 5,000 in the US in their first week compared to GBA which apparently sold 540,000 units in its first week. I'm not really suprised though... just look at the list of currently available titles and upcoming ones for N-Gage - complete shit! I like the idea of a portable console merged with a mobile phone, but I'd like it done right.

Mario Tennis did kick a lot of ass if you got a table that was the right height.

Drev I agree.

Nerd made me lol.

To Kevimus H: Is the Armada Unicron eating the old McDonald's Transformer food toys from the 80's?

Nerd

The new and improved N-Gage. Cheaper too.

Kevimus H the N-gage is just a shitty gaming system with a even shittier gaming system attached.

Drev The king of all video game ads still is held by the "Sega Scream" campagin.

I remember those cavemen ads. It was stupid. Also, wasn't there only 11 game released for it?

James You know those laser pointers that were big for a while? You know how people would shine them right in your eye to annoy you?

Imagine those lights in shapes, and on different planes like a hologram. Virtual Boy.
Oct 17th, 2003 09:38 PM
Drev I've wanted to play the Virtual Boy, but never got to.

Am I considered lucky?
Oct 17th, 2003 09:06 PM
Emu I still have neck cramps from Virtual Boy.
Oct 17th, 2003 07:41 PM
James Changing games is inconvenient.

The titles, as of now, are prehistoric crapitized versions of games, like Tomb Raider (1) and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (1).

As a cell phone, it sucks, in that you have to hold it on it's side, and that is not comfortable at all.

I'll be content with a GBA SP (when it drops to a price I can justify buying it at, seeing how I already have a GBA collecting dust for $80), and a PSP when it comes out. The N-Gage is going the way of the 32X and the Virtual Boy.

Cap'n Crunch I played it. The screen is incredibly small, all of the games suck, the framerate chugs, and the menus are highly complicated.

HickMan No systems are good when they start out. This can be just like the Xbox for all we know. At first I thought it was going to be the worst game system ever. But I bought one and it is a quality system.
I won't buy one yet, but maybe in a half-a-year it will be looking at.
Oct 17th, 2003 07:16 PM
Drev Schimid, please don't waste your money. It's just a crappy Game Boy plus a cell phone. The game's aren't worth it.

Nokia should've known better.

Mike P I was playing one at the store and the salesperson noticed. He began talking about how they had recieved ten N-Gages a week before, and they had only sold one as of yet. I asked him if he had sold many games for it, and his response was that it was a crappy system, but it kicked ass as a cell phone, and therefore no games had been sold...
