Mockery | Sooo many people have emailed me asking for the script to High Strung so they could do scenes from it for their monologues in acting classes. Well, the entire movie is practically one giant monologue, so I guess it makes sense. |

Don't do something from a movie. Movie dialogue is written for movies, a very different medium from the stage. Try Eric Bogosian, which are monologues already, or Sam Sheppard, who's characters often have lengthy monologues. If you can find a collection of his short early plays in the library, La Tourista has a monologue that is totally insane. If not, "Buried Child" and "Curse of the Starving Class" both ofer excellent stories length monologues. |

Conan's prayer to Krom, or the speech that Conan's dad gives to him at the beginning of the movie. Krom, I have never prayed to you before, I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you will remember, if we were good men or bad, why we fought and why we died. NO! All that matters is that two stood against many, that's what's important. Power pleases you, Krom, so grant me one request. Revenge! And if you do not hear me, then to hell with you. or something like that. |

WHAT MONOLOUGE(sp) SHOULD I DO FOR ACTING CLASS? I'm probably going to do one from Pulp Fiction, like Christopher Walkin's scene. |
