Skulhedface Oh... lumps...

umm, maybe a zit?

You'd have to tell us more about the lump (yummy).

Like... is it like cauliflowery or smooth, does it hurt to the touch, etc etc etc.

george it is your twin sister. she wants out and half of everything you have.

Anonymous what the fuck happened in here
I don't have any deficiencies, I know why I bruise easily, there is nothing to do about it
we were supposed to be talking about my mysterious lump

anyway, it doesn't appear to be life threatening so I don't much care anymore. Just waiting to see if it goes away eventually. There is no doctor in the house

Geggy you know what, you're right, it is the vitamin c and e that would help prevent from bruising, calcium intake would help make it more effective. but then if she was taking in too much of calcium it would result in developing cyst so it probably isn't a cyst on the back of her kneww, it's gotta be something else. oh well, looks like she's fucked. haha.

Jeanette X Bruising easily could have a variety of causes...but yes, iron defieciency is among them.

Skulhedface I don't know quite how or why, but it's my understanding that some people that bruise easily are anemic.

I've been to the doctor for something along those lines myself (easy bruising), and after he took some blood and got back to me, he told me that I had very low levels of iron in my blood, that I was anemic and that it contributes to how easily I bruise.

Something to think about, I suppose... try eating more iron.

Jeanette X I thought vitamin C and E were important in preventing bruising. Maybe Re should take vitamin supplements.

kellychaos Not that calcium wouldn't help but I think that some people are just naturally prone to bruising no matter what their intake.
Nov 8th, 2003 02:28 PM
Geggy looks like somebody hasn't had enough milk to drink. calcium intake is the only way to stop from bruising.

Jeanette X Does it hurt you at all? Is it sore/tender/painful in any way? What does it feel like if you squeeze it a little? Is it less than 5 mm?
How come you bruise so easily, anyway?

Perndog I had the same thing on my elbow for a while last year, a little bump that bruised for a while. I thought it was a vein until I pressed on it and it was hard (and hurt a bit). It worried me for a while, then I forgot about it and when I suddenly remembered and looked for it, it was gone. Oh well.

kahljorn I'm a cleebo pharmacist, if it's a disease I can get you fixy things.

Geggy As tempting as it may sound, i'd suggest you to try and avoid slicing it open on your own. it would only induce bacterial infection and yuo could put yourself into a much worse situation, like amputating you leg or something.

it looks like a cyst to me, though. i've had one before right on my chest. it was considered as third nipple. it was cool when they squirted it out.

Anonymous crapper

well, I am still trying to figure out if it's life threatening (that's the only reason I care). I called my mom about maybe it being an anurysm (sp?) but doesn't seem to be that.

This chick I work with is in her final semester of nursing school, so I showed it to her. She definately seemed to think it was something weird (ewww, wtf reaction), but didn't match up with a classic blood clot.

She also said I should go to a free clinic place here. You have to get there damn early monday. They only take appointments monday morning and they fill up for the week in like 15 minutes she said. So that will suck. I only have the interest to do so if I think it's something that could kill me like cancer or a blood clot.
She said chances are they will just tell me to go see a specialist if they think it's something to worry about. Then I'd have to pay for that anyway. So yeah.... I dunno what I am gunna do yet. She warned me not to cut it open because she said there are arteries back there. fucknutter

If it's just a cyst and I go through all that trouble I will be pissed!

DamnthatDavid You have something against people who poke things with sticks Les Waste? Sure, it's not a glamour job, but it's GOT to be done GOD DAMMIT!!!

But really, you could just be having a allergic reaction to some sort of insect, or arachnid. Some types of spider bites inflate, and as it is getting colder, more and more bugs and spiders move indoors.

Big Papa Goat Did someone kill Jeanette X?

Evil Robot That looks like a tick bite to me. Ticks and similar blood suckers like the skin on the back of your knees because its so thin.
