Rongi | I'm sorry I just can't see that. I could see the guy who played Wolverine do Jesse, but cyclops? I have my doubts :/

Protoclown | James Marsden (Cyclops from the X-Men movies) will be playing Jessie Custer. I could see him pulling it off (maybe...evidently he's VERY enthusiastic about the role) and I'm glad that they're not going for just a "big name".

Protoclown | Alan Moore evidently does not care what happens to the movies based on his work. I've heard that once he sells the rights, he figures it's in someone else's hands and he doesn't interfere nor care. I don't think he's watched the film versions of any of his movies. In interviews he's indicated a complete lack of interest in them.

pjalne | I hear Moore has read the script and is very happy with it.

My guess is the Watchmen will now be a bunch of teenagers who have problems 'fitting in' so they can make back their money and give Moore the finger for money regarding a sequel. |

Rongi | It's like Alan Moore doesn't give a fuck who directs it. I mean come on, LXG was unacceptable. From Hell wasn't bad though.

Anonymous | One of these days, I hope to find an interview in which a director admits that he will try to dumb down a lot of the original material.

Watchmen movie Producer Lloyd Levin ("Tomb Raider 2: Cradle of Life") told IGN FilmForce. Levin reports that they have a completed script from David Hayter ("X-Men"), "that absolutely celebrates the book. It's a great adaptation of it. It's very faithful." Levin said that they have no intention of trying to dumb-down the material, but rather "approach whatever you do with as much seriousness as possible and give it as much dignity as it deserves." Hayter is still a contender to direct but there is no timetable for starting pre-production of "Watchmen." I hope to GOD this movie never sees the light of day. |
