Hee hee hee hee hee hee! On 12/5, Vinth posted a link to this thread on Newsfilter. It said " If this is the opposition to Bush... Then Bush might as well settle in for about 4 more years..." and linked to this thread. To date, there have been ZERO responses. Vinth. If you are still alive. Come back. tv grinding down the minds of individuals has been going for a while now.. every state has its propoganda, americas is just the best. according to some it was in the 50's that advertising started the shift from telling us what a product or service was to sending the message that we are incomplete without product x and y. its the practice of the media giants for the large corporations to manufacture a need.. sell us a product or ideal to make a buck. as chomsky puts it 'manufacturing consent' for a policy or need for policy. fear, religion, etc.. just tools to manipulate. yea and no, yes they are mindless masses but they are still individuals, and though the government has alot of controll, in the end the individuals make the choice. bush knows exactlly what hes doing, cheezy photo op works (for most people) BUT I WONT BE BRAINWASHED! |

Check it out. That Turkey you saw him holding like he was going to serve the troops. A decorative centerpiece. I shit you not. The Troops got their Turkey on steam trays. About what you'd expect, and no big deal there, but why does W. need to do the big Norman Rockwell photo op? The Whitehouse is saying they had no idea the centerpiece was there, no idea the commander in chief was going to pick it up, etc. etc. Reminds me of the "Mission Accomplished" banner. It's no huge scandal, it's just niggling details, but what the hell is wrong with W. and his folks? Why does absolutely everything have to be gussied up fake shit? I have a theory. The Unvarnished W is so repellent they don't want to take a single chance that someone might see it. |

Uneccesary lies As White House Changes Story, British Airways Refutes Bush Story of Pilot Sighting In his trip to Baghdad, President Bush said he would have immediately turned around had his cover been blown. In trying to play up the secrecy and dangerous nature of the trip, Bush's aides said that a British Airways pilot spotted the president's plane, radioing, "Did I just see Air Force One?" The White House said Air Force One responded: "Gulfstream 5" - a code word to disguise the plane - and the British Airways pilot "seemed to sense he was in on a secret and replied 'Oh.'"1 But now it appears the story was a complete fabrication, designed only to hype the story. According to Reuters, "British Airways said yesterday that none of its pilots made contact with President Bush's plane during its secret flight to Baghdad on Thanksgiving, contradicting White House reports of a midair exchange that nearly prompted Bush to call off his trip."2 Making things worse, the White House revised its story after revelations of the distortion. The White House now says "it had left the wrong impression" and that actually the conversation took place between Air Force One and the airport tower in London.3 But again, British Airways refuted this tale, with a spokesman for the company telling media "that none of its pilots has come forward to acknowledge either making or overhearing the purported conversation."4 Sources: 1.
