To the historians of the board: Jesus was a myth. The Holocaust didn't happen. Hitler was gay. Homer wasn't blind. The Pilgrims and Indians got along very well. I'm drunk. Ignore me. |

![]() Prussians are better than Austrians. While the former were reading Clausewitz and practicing proper dueling technique, the latter were busy oppressing Hungarians and propogating Hitler's bloodline. |

With regards to the Prussia-Germany issue...Prussians were Germans. Good Germans too, the best of the lot. Certainly better than the bloody Austrians (who, for the record, are also Germans as far as ethnicity and culture go - the distinction is purely political). Quote:

Was Germany a unified state and not just a geographical region when Luther was alive? Or Bach. |

Oh yeah? I suppose people that wanted Marx to win didn't want to split the vote with Engels. I also think Engels was originaly from Belarussia or Prussia or something. Maybe. Probably not, actualy. I really like Beethoven, but I forgot about him.. |

Perndog | Which of the two do you think is more recognized? And given the choice between the two, which would most people in Germany vote for? This was not a panel of experts, this was a popular vote. | ||||

"Neither injustice nor tyranny can justify rebellion. Do not resist the man who wrongs you. The kingdoms of this world cannot function without inequality of conditions. Let everyone who can smite, slay, and stab [the peasants], secretly and openly, remembering that nothing can be more poisonous, hurtful, or devilish than a rebel. Kill rebellious peasants just as one would kill a mad dog." Christianity does teach to turn the other cheek and obey the laws of the land. He was only being true to his faith. Of course, that in itself is plenty of reason for me to NOT vote for him. I would have voted for Bach, though I'm surprised that he was in the top 10 and not Beethoven. |
