kellychaos Not necessarily. If they don't garner enough votes to impeach, the Department of Justice can still intercede and file criminal charges on the president.

El Blanco Well, in order to be pardoned, you need to be convicted of a crime. Its kind of hard for a sitting president to be convicted. Thats what impeachment is for.

The One and Only...
I just realized something...

Can a president pardon himself for his crimes? And if he could, would that have saved Nixon (in theory, because gave up his seat once Watergate was exposed)?
