Talk to the museum people and find out what'd they'd be willing to pay for it. If they don't give you enough money, sell it on ebay. That's what I would do. I've never seen one of those flashlights, so I assume there aren't a million of them out there. |

MK IV | What you want to do is, grab a hold of as many other's of these as you can, thewreby increasing the rarity, or even damaging the one's in museums which would achieve the same purpose, and then your flashl;ight will be worth alot more money.

Instead of selling it on e-bay, sell it to a museum if they want it. Or you can keep it and tell your grandchildren you have a peice of history. |

Matt Harty | Give it to the museum or sell it, there doesn't seem to be many out there.

Valuble flashlight About a year ago I was walking down a trail smoking a bowl with two other people when a glint of shinyness from under a bush caught my eye. I worked myself into the prickers to discover this flashlight. Nothing out of the ordinary, it was a good two D cell light with live batteries in it. I noticed it had the words "W.T.C. Fire Saftey" engraved across it. Being that I found it in westchester county (just north of NYC) and the fact that I found it about 500 feet from a fire station, I assumed it meant "Westchester Training Center". I was carusing the internet for god knows what (I forgot what the hell I was looking for) when I saw my flashlight on the Museum of American History's website. It turns out that it stands for "World Trade Center". This flashlight was issued to one person on each floor whos responsibilty it was to make sure everybody gets out during a fire. This really puzzles me as to why the hell somebody tossed it into the woods behind a fire station. (out of anger or sorrow perhaps?) ![]() This isn't my flashlight but it looks exactly like it except mine has a bit more dirt on it from being outside so long |
