Emu | How can you be sure it's impossible?

The One and Only... | I can be sure of anything that is impossible.

Zhukov | OAO, I will tell you that I know for sure that god does not exist, you probably don't believe I know for sure, but you can't be sure.

The One and Only... | Kelly, I will tell you that I have a pink elephant in my house. Do you believe me? Probably not. But you do not know. This becomes especially true when the supernatural gets involved.

God almighty will bring his wrath to all you non believers!! And a beer. I believe in God, but he sure has a strange sense of humor, he made catholic, jewish and muslims. And all the tools for them to kill each other for his name. Whatever that might be. ![]() |

kellychaos | Someone who can't separate their need for scientific proof from acts of pure faith? Apples and oranges, really. Assuming that a car is in working order, you can jump into a car, start it up and be on your way without a qualm of something mechanical going wrong and the car veering off and killing you? That's faith in science yet you can't commit to ONE theological judgement? They're both life and death, n'est-ce pas? I hold more respect for an absolute yes or no.

Emu | Well, if you don't know, that means you don't believe, right?

The One and Only... | An agnostic is not someone who professes that he does not know. He claims that it is impossible to know, and therefore does not have an opinion.

Re: agnosticism. If you don't know, the answer is, no, you don't believe. The question is whether you can truthfully state that you believe. If you can't say that, then you answer no. Saying no doesn't mean you're sure that there is no God, only that you're not sure that there is. I'm sick of agnostics pretending they can't answer this question. ![]() |

Zbu Manowar | I believe there is a god, he likes porn and beer, and whenever someone prays to him he just shrugs like Bender and says "What the fuck? Maybe next time you'll wear a seat belt, stupid jackass!"

There, I fixed it. "Well, I've always said there's nothing an agnostic can't do if he doesn't really know whether he believes in anything or not." - Monty Python |

Emu | Isn't everybody technically an agnostic because there's no way to know for certain?

Suck 'n' Fuck |
It's amazing how many people make polls about this with only 2 answers to choose from. What are the agnostics supposed to say in that poll, eh, smart guy? BTW, I'm an agnostic. |
