Perndog Most English BAs never get anything published at all - a bachelor's degree means only that you're finally qualified to start school (grad school) as far as the elites in any given field are concerned.

Jay buy the newer version, it covers SNES. The newest repress covers up to mid N64 era.

EverythingWillSuck I read the book over a summer three years ago. I also just whipped it out for some info on Nintendo's former president. It's a VERY good read, even having some facts I didn't know (Nintendo's first toy released was the 'Ultra Hand' in 1970) Only problem is it was originally written in 1993, so it doesn't cover the whole SNES history or the N64. Still good stuff.

Jay For the longest time EB had a giant stack of the books and they wern't selling. And truthfully who the heck, other then videogame nerds, would want to READ a book about VIDEOGAMES?

But heres a link to a place you can get the hardcover 1st edition (it ends pre-N64 days): http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/prod.cg...1856&meta_id=1

or if you want the Softcover: http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/prod.cg...1856&meta_id=1

Has anyone read Game Over: The History of Nintendo?

I got this book last year for $2 at EB, and goddamn is it an awsome read! I must have read it from cover to cover at least 50 times. It covers the history of Nintendo from its card making days to the ultimate failure of the N64 (with the exception of those fun 4-player WWF games).
