First of all, they state right on the page that this was merely inspired by X-Com; therefore, it's not a remake, it's a rip-off. Secondly, the engine being used is "a heavily modified version of iD's Quake2 engine". How lazy do you have to be to steal somebody else's engine and strip it down? (And yes, I know this is common practice, but still...) Finally, as much as I enjoy strategy games (i.e., except for C&C:RA, not very much), this one sounds rather silly. |
