Abcdxxxx | I was just talking about this film with someone that knows the guy. He used to do some sort of Jackass stunt show on MTV, so the idea of doing this was originally just a stunt. His wife is vegan. He went to doctors before making the film and found out he had all these pre-existing conditions that the stunt just kinda brought to the forefront, and the fast food made worse. The message side of it just adds depth, and makes it a bit more smart.

While I agree we are as a society rather shallow, I don't think the fact that we don't understand the very fine details of nutrition is so alarming. Some people get it, most of us can only understand the basic concepts. Some people understand finance, most don't. As for fad diets, they have always been around. The masses are stupid. |

Suicide is the American way of life Doopa. Ours is a shallow society where style is valued above substance. Consumption of goods is based upon brand bias and presentation rather than understanding of the product. People are not merely nonplussed by intellegent arguments, they are disinterested by them. The uneducated see the Ivory Tower as being hollow and unsubstantial, while the academic elite see their less educated cousins as the great unwashed. But this too shall pass in time. |

. . .An autobiographical account of fast food effects. . .If he was motivated enough to invest his own money and substantial time into this project, he has a financial obligation to ensure that his investment is not wasted, hence, his credibility is inherently questionable. I'll probably enjoy the film as much as I did Bowling for Columbine, but I am guessing the veracity and merit of the project will be comparable also, regrettably. |

El Blanco | It was in the NY Post. Somehow, this guy thibks that telling people that McDonalds is bad for you is innovative. If he is still alive, invite him to catch up with the rest of us past 1962.

that mcdonalds movie Anyone heard about this thing? I can't find the link to the story anymore. Some guy made a documentary of himself eating Mcdonalds 3 times a day for 30 days. And his "frightening" decline. I want to see this film. I love how anti-smoking-drinking-whatever people are, but they eat that shit all the time. It is way more harmful to you than anything else |
