According to this .... http://www.reuters.co.uk/newsPackage...5§ion=news "Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler and former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic have made it to the list -- every member of all the world's parliaments, university professors from law to theology, ex-winners and committee members can submit names." |

theapportioner | ??? I thought the person nominated has to be alive. Plus, I doubt you can nominate yourself.

Pee Wee Herman | Does that mean if I was a professor at some university, I could nominate myself for the hell of it, and put "Nobel Prize Nominee" on my resume?

Abcdxxxx | Hitler and Milosevic also got nominated this year. Anyone working at a University can make a nomination.

I'm not that surprised about this. Anyone can be nominated, and that Pettersen defends Bush isn't new. He's been given a lot of pepper for it. The population on a whole is very much against Bushapalooza. |

The Unseen | Yes, Nobel did invent dynamite but he created it for good (construction and such). When he found out it was used for wars, he was shocked and had to make something really really good so people would remember him better- he created the nobel peace prize.

I find it puzzling how the public doesn't find any relation between the fact that Iraq was probably the best at hiding and disposing evidance against them. They have cleared out entire stockholds of supplies to make nuclear weapons with only 10 minutes warning (they were caught one time and they almost got away that time). So isn't it possible another country now holds iraqs weapons? Looking back, we coulden't have found all the uranium an those UN site inspections could we? Oh well, I like the fighting happening in government anyway. That means its working. |

Perndog | Nobel invented TNT but the original Nobel Prizes were just for science (esp. chemistry), right? Is the Peace Prize even awarded by the same committee?

Haha. Blanco, interestingly enough, Nobel did invent TNT. So the award is inherently ironic. Say, shouldn't John Poindexter have gotten one of these by now? |

Didn't Nobel invent TNT? Didn't Gorbachov(sp?) win that thing? Is it even relevent to today's world? |

Well, hell, why not? If Kissinger and Arafat can win it, why not either of those yo-yos? I wonder if the Nobel Committee will do like professional wrestling did, and just come out and admit they're fake. |
