A gay man at an old folks bingo place??? No, it wasn't rude of you to act that way. He threw out the line, trolled and when there wasn't any action, he kept cultivating you. You were just replying in kind and when it came down to the final dance, he didn't get you and was obviously bent out of shape over it (probably embarrassed too but it's HIS problem - not yours). Comes with the territory. Gay people make distinctions too and just because there is ONE other gay man in the room it doesn't mean he is going to go home with the other gay guy. My only concern is when gay people start going to old folks bingo games to do their trolling. Must be a bitch to be gay sometimes. I guess ![]() |

He's gonna get the gay mafia on you! ![]() I dunno, I guess it was justifiable. It was justifiable for him to flirt with you as well, considering how you described yourself at the time. |

Big Papa Goat | I'd say it was rude enough for him to assume you were gay for wearing a mexican button up shirt. :/ But then, it must be kind of awkward for someone who's gay to hit on people, and it'd be pretty awkward to ask people if they're gay when you first meet them. | |

straight flirting with the homo just wondering if its considered a rude thing to flirt with a gay person even when you're not? here's the sceniro, i went out on a date to play bingo with the old folks last saturday night. this one person, mr. king, who was in his 30's and pretty gay himself, started hitting on me. he probably assumed i was gay because of the mexican button up shirt i was wearing and for the fact that i'm cute. it's not the first time it's happened and it pisses me off when they hit on me before i even have the chance to acknowledge them that i'm not gay. so in the act of revenge, i flirted back to start the fire with no one around to put it out. he then asked me straight up if i was gay. i told him i wasnt but if was i would go out with him. he scoffed at me and reminded me it was rude of me to do such thing. so was it a rude thing to do or did i do the right thing to teach him a lesson? |
