As a matter of fact, I actually used that scene because it was one of the most outrageous moments in the film. Having nothing to do with it at all. I also knew that people would think it would be from some sort of "Mad Max" type action movie and not from a Rock Opera (musical). And I did all this so I could bask in the reflected glory which my avatar was bound to recieve. I mean, what would people think if that whole gangwar scene was dissolved simply by a half-naked guy floating over head singing "can you feeeel me?" |

mburbank | It's from the single most inexplicable scene in Tommy, even more so than the disturbing baked bean sequence, which I found more disturbing than most because I have a whole Anne Margaret thing and it never involved any damn baked beans. Scant moments after the scene in the avatar, Tommy swoops in via hnag glider and saves the day, if I recall correctly. It is not tied to the plot or explained in any linear way. | ||

Maybe I was lying about it being in the movie. Maybe it is the director's cut. Maybe I have never seen the movie at all because I hate the Who. Maybe I should have simply shown a picture of Roger Daltrey. Maybe this is a cry for help to save me from my giulded life of false rock idols. Maybe Chojin's thread now belongs to my avatar. Or maybe I should have shown Ann Margret playing in a river of baked beans. |

Is your avatar really from your favorite movie (Tommy)? I don't remember that part! Maybe if you made an avatar of Ann-Margret rolling around in baked beans then we wouldn't be asking you so many questions! |

Well, since Jixby pinned me in a corner with the proper question I might as well. (Keep in mind that this is all in the name of Shojin) |
