Okay, I put up the script on Stories for the Board. It's VERY long for a post, I recomend copying it and printing it out to read. I got mentioned in the Boston Globe, but just in passing as an aspect of the Museum. My hope is to get actual theater reviewers in, something that's nver happened before despite the fact we've had science theater for a decade. |

I can when I have to. I don't now if I should post tghe script in "Stories for the Board" or email it to folks who want it. I think it might be uncomfortably long to read on a message board, though in real life it only runs twenty minutes. |

Thanks! The press preview went... not so well. The rehersal time was truncated by about a month bcuase of funding problems, and the actors are nowhere near where I'd want them to be. One of them screwed up her lines pretty bad. Amazingly, the reaction has been fairly positive. If that's how they like it in the crap state it's in, they should really love it in a week or so. Nothing's signed yet, but it looks as if I've already gotten another script out of it, something on the early days of electricity. If anyone is interested in reading the script, I'll try to get around to sending it. Let me know. |

AWESOME MAX!!! When you were talking about the play it reminded me of "Real Genius" when they realized that they were actually building a weapon. And I totally mean that in a good way.

| Geggy | congrats, max! i've alway been facsinated with einstein ever since the time when i was in private school, and mr storm, my science teacher, often liked to compare himself to einstein and alway used him as an example for whatever the project we worked on. i'll be sure to visit the exhibit! :nerd | |

I like the part when she dropped the orange! Smells like good journalism to me! But seriously, that play's a great idea. Wish I could be up north right now so that I could see it. By the way, you can't even tell anything was wrong with your voice because of the blister. |

Thanks! I still can't watch the video on my computer. I was at work when it aired on TV, so you have joined the growing coalition of folks who have seen this before me. The press preview of the exhibit, and my show, is in about an hour. I'm less nervous than I thought I'd be. The show is in a small enclosed space within the exhibit, and on the outside, they put up a graphic describing the show, and it's got my name on it. It is virtually unheard for one of the creators of an exhibit to get a credit like that. Now if only I can get this recognition to translate into money, I'd be totally happy. |

NewsCenter 5's J.C. Monahan reported that a play accompanying the exhibit, "God's Dice" explores some of Einstein's theories that lead to scientific breakthroughs. "What I'm trying to do here is take you inside the head of a physicist on the verge of a major breakthrough," said playwright Max Burbank. Burbank wrote the play to show scientists as human beings dealing with moral and ethical dilemmas with each new discovery. It was something Burbank said Einstein faced after realizing his theory behind e=mc2 was leading to the atomic bomb. "He came up with the theory which allowed that work to go ahead but he never thought about it. He never though about what happens next. It just wasn't where he was working," said Burbank. The play's director, Dan Dowling, hopes the play gets people to question their own position on scientific advancement. "My favorite response is, 'It got me to think,'" said Dowling. Of course, the play is only part of what the museum has to offer. When Einstein's exhibit opens on March 13, it will not only will it demonstrate his most important scientific theories, including the effect of gravity and gravity's effect on time and space, but it will also touch upon his personal life -- love letters to his wife, his diary, even a letter highlighting his involvement as a political figure. Many of Einstein's personal items have never been seen in the United States. Through science, theatre and artifacts, the exhibit strives to show Einstein as more than just a brain. "And that's what I want people to walk away with. The knowledge that these great scientists, these great thinkers were people as well," said Burbank. The Museum of Science's Einstein exhibit will be open to the public from March 13 to June 6. |

"A DRUNKEN RETARD TALKING ABOUT SPECIAL RELATIVITY!" ok that reminded me of something.. the other day on comedy central we saw this show which was like uhhh - clips from a bunch of comedy troupes anyway, they had this one that made me laugh and laugh. It was a science class - like about relativity or something smart like that- and everyone in the class was like stephen hawking and all had the same voice becuase they spoke through that computer thing. And .... oh fuck it's too long to explain it but DID ANYONE ELSE SEE IT?! |

I have very hard time remembering anything that happened betwen when I was about eighteen and now anyway. The media relations department here is going to give me a tape. If it's anything to speak of (as opposed to edited down to about 30 seconds of me looking vacant) I'll make you a copy. I did phone interviews for two papers today as well. Very minor, Metrowest and some Nashua NH paper. Here's the fun part. I have a fever blister on the underside of my toungue about the size of a microdot, but it feels like it's the size of a manhole cover (manhole, tee hee) so it's incredably painful to speak, and if I let my guard down at all I hold my tongue still and sound like a drunken retard.
