I don't remember if there used to be a thread for this or if it worked at all if there ever was one. I've seen a couple of Chojin's video projects, and wondered if anybody else had done something available on the net.

A friend of mine recently uploaded a couple of things me and the guys did last year while studying film history. We did a series of parodies of important directors and genres through the ages, among others Kurosawa. Those who are interested can watch the video at http://www.hansenolsen.net/throne.html (click the link that says "Se filmen" at the bottom of the page). I'm the samurai.

Oh, and I'm aware a lot of Kurosawa's trademarks aren't in this and that we use certain teqhniques he never would have used. We just did this over a couple of days to give the rest of the class a laugh at a party.

We also did a D. W. Griffith parody ( http://www.hansenolsen.net/peber.html ) and one on Sergei Eisenstein ( http://www.hansenolsen.net/trapp.html ), but they're pretty incomprehensible if you don't read Norwegian. Well, if you know the directors well enough you might get something out of it.
