I finally got the job! I am now a proud member of the fourth-highest-paid musical ensemble within the Twin Cities (behind the Minnesota Orchestra, the St. Paul Symphony, and the Chanhassen Dinner Theater). I waited for a year and worked my ass off to impress the important people enough to give me this spot, and now I can relax and finally be happy that I have the first long-term position of my life (I've never held a job for longer than two months before). So if anyone's passing through Minneapolis/St. Paul this summer (or on any weekend), be sure to stop by Camp Snoopy in the Mall of America and say hi to the band. I'll be the guy with the buzz cut behind the bass drum or the trombone (as opposed to the other guy in either of those spots - we trade off). |
